Faculty and staff
One pathway, role-specific application
The pathway develops practices that travel across roles:
making thinking visible, testing assumptions, challenging
first answers, verifying claims, deciding what to delegate,
and preserving human judgment.
Faculty can apply the work to teaching and course design.
Staff can apply it to advising, operations, communications,
analysis, leadership, or student support. A mixed cohort can
be especially valuable because participants see how the same
practices transfer across the institution.
Other pathways are more faculty-centered. For example,
From AI-Vulnerable to AI-Partnered Courses
focuses directly on course and assignment redesign.
Local facilitation
A cohort convener, not an AI lecturer
The institution identifies one primary facilitator. That
person does not need to be an AI expert or teach the six
Studios; the interactive Practice Studios provide the core
learning experience.
The facilitator keeps the group on schedule, hosts short
discussions, helps participants connect the practices to
their roles, monitors completion, and guides and reviews the
implementation projects.
The Competency Practice Pathway includes a train-the-trainer
onboarding session, facilitator resources, and the
project-review framework. Facilitators see completion
progress, not participants' private Studio responses.
Facilitators receive the resource hub link during onboarding.
